The trick to wearing mini skirts is BALANCE!  With my shape in particular, a wide top is always a good choice when wearing minis because it keeps the look tasteful and classy!  The height of the heel is another way to play down a short bottom; these BCBG pumps are about 4" (far from my go-to 6")!  Since the mini is doing enough color popping, I went with neutral accessories.  I added a little print with the belt to pull all the accessories together!

Mon Chérie

The Look
Tights: OASAP
Shorts: H&M
Clutch: Romwe
Head Bow: Scrap Fabric :)

Back at it again! I was thrown a little off course this past week because it was my sister's birthday and I admit I did a little too much celebrating :)  But, after reading a couple motivational stories, I'm glad to say the fire is back and it's going to take a lot to burn out this time!  I'm on a mission and I'm taking you all with me :)  Inventory for the launch of Anomalous Beauty is finalized!  There are still a few things that need to be done before the lauch, partnerships, marketing and more, but I will keep you guys updated a long the way!

Special thanks to OASAP for these gorgeous tights!  They are a unique twist on thigh highs, which are very sexy to wear but hard to pull off in street fashion!  I toned down the look to daytime with an oversized button down shirt, and wore jean shorts to make it even more casual!  The booties also help tone down the look; it would be a completely different look if I wore pumps instead!

Since Fall is right around the corner, I thought I'd give you guys a sneak peek into my preview collection available soon at Anomalous Beauty!!  I will be launching the complete collection this Fall!!

Crop tops are one of my favorite pieces to wear from the past, they are so versatile!  You can wear one to the mall, the gym, or even to sleep!  You can wear a top like this one off he shoulders or on and it still looks fab!  I decided to wear a distressed flared jean and boots because I wanted the look to be playful!  Finally the sunnies are the statement piece, taking my look from girl next door to girl on display!

Unfortunately it is raining here in Atlanta today and I was too nervous to take my new baby, I mean camera :) outside so I took this opportunity to get a few shots in a covered area.  In addition, my paparazzo was off today so I took the pictures alone.  Even with these minor set backs, I think they came out pretty darn good if I may say so myself (*dusts off shoulders*)!

White on white is always so chic!  Since you don't really need too much going on wearing it, I kept my accessories, hair, and make-up simple.  A high bun, cat-eye, and red lip keeps the look classic, a homemade purse adds personality, and the nude pumps help elongate my legs!  To make the purse, I took a silver clutch that I had laying in the back of my closet, added a long necklace inside of the flap, and wrapped a piece of chiffon fabric around!  It's the same fabric I wore as a scarf in the Tufted Blue post!  Simple and easy DIY!
